About us
The first La Piñata was founded in 1994 in Meridian, Mississippi, by Juan Mata Sr, his brother, and their two brothers-in-law, and has since moved and expanded to four locations in Ohio: Centerville, Fairfield, Colerain, and Hamilton. Juan wanted to create a family business that also brought the best Mexican food to the community.
Through hard work and dedication La Piñata was able to renovate the old La Piñata building 12 years after the initial opening. The decision was then made to expand the restaurant to Ohio.Today, La Piñata has 5 locations in total with 4 in Ohio run by the Mata Family.
